Reading and understanding engineering drawings & blueprints Fitting, assembling, and installing mechanical parts and equipment Performing bench work: filing, drilling, tapping, grinding Measuring and marking components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges Aligning and assembling shafts, bearings, gears, couplings Carrying out repair and maintenance of machines Assisting in machine installation & commissioning Identifying faults and doing basic troubleshooting Following safety procedures and shop-floor discipline
